One of the fundamental elements of the Exteryo Safety 4.0 platform is the PPE product sheet. This powerful tool fully digitalizes the management of information about protective equipment, giving inspectors, companies and workers immediate access to safety-critical data.
What is a product sheet?
The product sheet is the information core of each piece of PPE within the Exteryo Safety 4.0 cloud platform. Structured in three main sections, it gathers in an organized way all the data needed for effective, compliant management:
- Universal model information
This section contains data common to all devices of the same model:
Device name and category Manufacturer Mandatory inspection interval General technical specifications Reference standards This information forms the basis for correctly identifying and classifying the PPE within the system.
- Unique data of the specific device
Here we find the information that identifies the individual piece of PPE:
Unique PPE code (associated with the NFC tag) Production date Expiry date (where applicable) Date of the last inspection Current status (compliant, expiring, non-compliant) Specific characteristics (size, colour) Assignment (operator or department) This data, updated in real time, makes it possible to monitor the device's entire life cycle.
- Technical documentation
The third section contains essential digital documents:
Instruction manual Declaration of conformity Any additional certifications History of past inspections Having this documentation immediately available on a smartphone removes the need to store and consult paper copies, improving efficiency and reducing the risk of losing critical information.
Adding a product sheet
One of the strengths of Exteryo Safety 4.0 is its collaborative nature. If a product is not yet in the database, any user can easily create its sheet:
Go to the section Archives > PPE model register Select "Create new PPE model" from the ribbon Fill in the required data Upload the available technical documentation Once created, the sheet becomes available to all users of the platform, progressively enriching the shared knowledge base.
Display and universal accessibility
An innovative aspect of Exteryo Safety 4.0 is that the information is accessible to the workers using the PPE as well. Even without being registered users of the platform, they can:
Scan the NFC tag on the device with a smartphone Immediately access the product sheet Check the compliance status of the PPE Consult the instruction manual This feature is fundamental to fostering a conscious safety culture, where every worker can actively verify that the equipment they use is compliant and safe.
