What UNIVYK is
Every item has a value, and UNIVYK's goal is to preserve it over time. The mark guarantees the uniqueness of products by combining three elements: an NFC chip permanently embedded in the product, a serial code that exists only once in the world, and a dedicated link accessible only to whoever physically holds the object. Holding the three together is a specific procedure, customized for each item, supported by a data management system that keeps its unique values intact over time — and legally certified.
Why a company needs legal support on what it communicates externally
Every piece of information a company sends out into the world — a product label, a technical data sheet, a certificate of authenticity, the content that opens when a smartphone is brought close to the chip — is not just marketing: it is a statement that binds whoever issues it.
Saying that a product is unique, original, made with certain materials or worn on a certain occasion means taking on a responsibility towards the customer, towards future buyers and, in the event of a dispute, before a judge or a supervisory authority. How the UNIVYK procedure works
1. Product and needs analysis
The client has products to certify, wants to guarantee their uniqueness and wishes to include a link that takes the end user to reserved content. Whether certification takes place in pre-production or on an already existing item is defined at this stage.
2. NFC chip integration
The technology partner supplies the chip and advises on the application method: the chip is permanently associated with the product, so that it cannot be removed without damaging it.
3. Creation of the unique code and the link
Each chip corresponds to a unique serial (UID) recorded in a database. A dedicated link is tied to the serial, accessible only by bringing a smartphone close to the product: it becomes an exclusive marketing tool and an official channel to the owner.
4. LSA legal certification
Through the UNIVYK procedure, LSA attests that the entire process was carried out correctly: it collects the owner's declarations, documents the item's distinctive features and certifies the link between chip, product and data.
5. Application of the UNIVYK mark
The UNIVYK mark is affixed to the product. From that moment on, the item is recognizable as a unique piece, with proof of authenticity that accompanies it over time and protects future buyers.
